infoTok ("infoTok", "we", "us") is a TikTok trend‑intelligence app for content creators, operated by Pedro Proni, an independent app developer based in Brazil (the "data controller"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. By using infoTok you agree to this Policy.
infoTok is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok or ByteDance Ltd.
We collect the minimum needed to run the app. We do not require you to create an account to browse trends.
| Category | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Device identifier | A random identifier generated on your device | To store your preferences and subscription status without requiring an account |
| Region & language | Country you select or that is inferred from your IP address, and your app language | To show trends relevant to your market and localize the interface |
| Account data (optional) | Email address and a securely hashed password, if you create an account | To sync your data across devices and enable password recovery |
| TikTok profile (optional) | If you connect TikTok, your public TikTok identifier, display name and avatar | To personalize recommendations to your niche and unlock creator features |
| Preferences & activity | Alerts you configure, items you save, and your usage of the AI script generator | To deliver the features you enable and enforce fair‑use quotas |
| Subscription status | Your entitlement (free / paid) and trial state, received from the app store via RevenueCat | To grant access to paid features and manage free trials |
| Push token (optional) | A push notification token, if you enable alerts | To send the trend alerts you opt in to |
We do not collect your name, phone number, precise GPS location, contacts, photos, or payment card details. Payments are handled entirely by Apple, Google and RevenueCat — we never see your card data.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third‑party advertising.
We rely on a small set of trusted providers who process data on our behalf:
| Provider | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Third‑party trend‑data provider | Supplies aggregated, publicly available trend metrics by country and niche | No personal data — public, aggregated trend signals only |
| TikTok / ByteDance (Login Kit) | Optional account connection, used only to personalize recommendations | Your basic public TikTok profile, only if you connect your account; deleted when you disconnect |
| RevenueCat | Subscription and entitlement management | Your device identifier and purchase/entitlement events |
| Anthropic (Claude) | AI generation of video scripts | The prompts and references you submit — not your identity |
| MongoDB Atlas / Amazon Web Services | Data storage and hosting | All stored app data described in Section 1 |
| Email provider | Transactional email (password recovery) | Your email address |
| Expo push service | Delivery of opt‑in notifications | Your push token |
The trend information in infoTok — popular hashtags, sounds, videos and, where available, products — is publicly available information supplied to us by independent third‑party data providers. infoTok does not access TikTok's platform or systems directly, and does not obtain this information through TikTok's developer or commercial services. Where we name TikTok, it is only to identify the platform these public trends relate to (a nominative reference).
If you separately choose to connect your own TikTok account through TikTok's official Login Kit, we access only your basic public profile, solely to personalize your recommendations. infoTok never posts, comments, follows, or takes any action on your TikTok account, and we never sell this data or use it for advertising.
We retain data obtained through your TikTok connection only for as long as your account remains connected. You can disconnect at any time from within the app — which deletes the associated TikTok profile data from our systems — and we will delete such data promptly on request or if our access to TikTok's developer tools ends, consistent with TikTok's developer requirements.
We process your data under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Depending on your location, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data, to withdraw consent, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
You can exercise these rights at any time by contacting us (Section 9). Most data can also be removed directly in‑app by disconnecting TikTok, deleting your account, or uninstalling the app. We will respond to verified requests within the timeframe required by applicable law.
We keep your data only as long as needed to provide the service. Preference and account data are retained while your account or device profile is active; when you delete your account we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where longer retention is required by law. Public trend data is cached on a rolling basis and contains no personal information.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and passwords are stored only as salted hashes (argon2). Our infrastructure is hosted on Amazon Web Services and MongoDB Atlas, which may process data in data centers outside your country. We rely on the safeguards provided by these processors for international transfers.
infoTok is intended for creators aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the minimum age required to hold a TikTok account in their country. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notified in‑app.
